Welcome to Honey’s Hive Childminding, a Montessori-inspired, nature-based setting where children can learn, play, and grow. We provide a warm, nurturing environment that helps children develop independence, confidence, and the skills they need before starting school.

Our outdoor area is a large, nature-based garden featuring a mud kitchen, mark-making area, tuff tray, guttering stand, and water & sand play, encouraging curiosity and hands-on learning.

Inside, children can explore a play kitchen, toy shop, term-themed sections, messy play area, reading corner, tool table, role-play activities, and a numeracy area. They also self-register each day, practicing counting and independence.

Led by Sana, with a BA in Education Studies and childminding training in EYFS, safeguarding (DSL), and first aid, our team provides high-quality care and education.

We work closely with parents to share updates and support each child’s development, creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where children can thrive.

About me

Hi, I’m Sana, a mum of two energetic boys and the proud owner of two friendly cats! I have always loved working with children, which inspired me to become a childminder. I hold a BA in Education Studies and have completed a comprehensive childminding course covering EYFS, safeguarding (DSL), and first aid, so your child is in safe and capable hands.

I’m passionate about creating a nurturing, fun, and stimulating environment where every child can learn, explore, and grow at their own pace. As a parent myself, I understand the importance of trust, routine, and open communication, and I work closely with families to support each child’s development and happiness.

Outside of childminding, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring nature, and coming up with creative activities for the children at Honey’s Hive.

What Makes Honey's Hive Different?

Our Core Values

Nurture & Care
Every child deserves a loving and supportive environment where they feel safe, valued, and encouraged to express themselves. We tailor our care to each child’s personality, needs, and stage of development, ensuring they feel understood and supported every day.

Growth & Learning
We believe children learn best through play, creativity, and exploration. Our activities are designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and support all areas of development. We encourage children to take small challenges, try new skills, and celebrate each achievement along the way.

Inclusion & Respect
Every child is unique and celebrated for who they are. Differences are respected, and diversity is embraced. We nurture empathy, kindness, and respect, helping children develop strong social skills and a positive understanding of the world around them.

Safety & Trust
Children can explore and learn freely in a secure, carefully managed environment. Parents can trust that their child is in attentive, capable hands at all times. Safeguarding and wellbeing are always a top priority, giving families peace of mind.

Partnership with Families
We value strong partnerships with parents and carers, keeping lines of communication open and regular. Families are treated as partners in their child’s development, ensuring consistency, support, and shared goals to help every child thrive.
